The rooms can be broadly categorised into 6 types: Super Deluxe, Special AC, Special Non-AC, Semi – special, Semi – private, General.
  • Super Deluxe
    AC room with attached bathroom; microwave; multi channel cable television, refrigerator, telephone and one cot for the attender.
  • Special AC
    AC room with attached bathroom, multi channel cable television, telephone and one cot for the attender.
  • Special Non- AC
    A private room with attached bath, multi channel cable television, telephone and a separate cot for the attender.
  • Semi Special
    A twin sharing room with an attached bath, couch for each patient's attender.
  • Semi Private
    One room shared by three patients with an attached bath.
  • General ward
    Three to five patients in a cubicle; chair for each patient's relative and a bathroom in the ward.
    Bed charges are calculated on a 24 hour basis from the time of admission. If patient is required to be transferred to the Intensive Care Units, the room / bed that the patient was occupying prior to the transfer is to be vacated.

Day Care Centre caters to patients undergoing surgeries / procedures that do not require overnight stay in the hospital.
All minor, intermediate, major procedures e.g. Cardiac Catheterisation, Cataract with IOL etc. can be performed in Day Care Centre.
The Day Care Centre is located on the ground floor of the building.
Yes, you have to pay the deposit according to the surgery charges.
Yes, kindly get the authorisation letter from your consultant / surgeon and then contact the Admission Counter.
Yes, on producing the original receipts and the surgeon's authority letter, your deposit will be refunded.
Yes, but it is subject to availability of bed. All charges shall be billed for the higher class from the date of transfer.
Yes, subject to availability of bed and payment of all outstanding amounts.
Total amount of deposit is to be paid at the time of admission. If you fail to pay the required amount at the time of admission, the same has to be paid within 24 hours.
Payments are accepted by Cash/Demand Draft (DD can be drawn in favour of Manipal Hospital) all types of Credit Cards only.
You are required to approach the company directly for reimbursement of your bill.
A Hi-tech and cardiac ambulance is always available to transport critical patients.
General visiting time: 6am to 8pm
Pass Holders: 6am to 8am, 12 noon to 1:30pm, and 5pm to 8pm.
ICU – 6:00 am to 6:30am and 6:30pm to 7:00pm
Only two attendants are allowed to meet the patient at a time in the ICU.
We issue one pass at the time of admission
Discharges are done through 24 hours a day.
Provisional bills are given to the patient from time to time. An intimation of discharge will be sent by the ward sister to the billing section. A final bill will be prepared by the billing section.
After the final settlement you will be given a discharge slip which has to be handed over to the floor staff.
You have to produce the original receipts for any refund. Refund of an amount upto Rs. 5000/- is made by cash. All cash refunds are done immediately.
There is no surcharge on the hospital bills.
There are no special formalities for a foreign national to avail medical facilities in the hospital. The hospital authorities would like to get information on your itinerary so that travel arrangements could be made for the same.
Yes, the hospital authorities would help you in the money transactions through organisations which help in currency exchange.
In case of patients admitted in ICU, a provisional bill is given every day. In case of patients admitted in floors, the same is generated once every two days. The patients can also ask the ward in charge nurse to provide the details. It shall be appreciated, if the same is settled within 24 hours.
You can book the appointment from the concerned OPD Secretary.
Your discharge summary will be given to you by the concerned Floor Manager.
Pending reports can be collected from the Medical Records Department at the Ground floor Lobby.
Our pharmacy provides all the medicines for In-patients.
